As a bonus to Bond’s Feb. 16 webinar about the evolving legal implications of COVID-19 for business, Bond labor and employment attorney Michael D. Billok recorded a short video about the latest guidance and enforcement activity from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
OSHA, which updated its COVID-related guidance in January, has reported a slight uptick in whistleblower activity in recent weeks by employees claiming they were retaliated against because they complained about workplace health and safety conditions. The agency’s guidance recommends employers have a procedure in place informing employees they cannot be retaliated against if they’ve complained about the safety of employees during COVID.
