As most institutions are aware, the certification date for an NCAA member institution to verify compliance with the Arrington Settlement Agreement is quickly approaching. These compliance requirements, along with the recently issued NCAA Concussion Safety Protocol Template and Checklist, can cause confusion for general counsel, athletic trainers and compliance personnel. We are guiding multiple institutions through this process, and have decided to host a brief webinar with a focus on the following items in the Arrington Settlement Agreement:

• Missing items in the updated NCAA Concussion Protocol Template required for compliance;
• Issues with “undefined terms”; and
• Individualized issues per institution regarding the terms “reasonable and defensible” (per the NCAA FAQ’s).
